Things To Do Whilst Staying At The Hafod Hotel In and Around Devil’s Bridge The station for the Vale of Rehidol Railway is about 400 yards away. • The Red Kite Feeding Station Nant yr Arian About 6 miles away. Entrance costs £3.00 and feeding time is 2pm until March and 3pm in summer. There are five hides from which you can watch the Kites feeding.
• Walking We have a series of circular walks, all starting from the Hotel’s front door. Each walk has a complete set of directions and an indication of the length of time that they will take. So far we can recommended three walks varying in time from 1 hour to 3 hours but the number will grow as we have time to complete more walks. A complementary set of directions can be collected at the reception desk where we also have Ordinance Survey Maps for you to borrow.
• Devil’s Bridge Just over the bridge itself there are 2 walks to see the three bridges and the waterfall. Cross the arched bridge at the bottom of the waterfalls and begin to ascend the other side of the gorge. Go into Robbers Cave, an old hide out place next to the waterfall. It is advisable to wear sensible shoes. There is also the easier, short walk to view the 3 bridges and the Devil's Punchbowl. |
