A Note From The Family

The Manager of the Hotel is Becky.
After working at various different hotels, it became her dream to be able to run a hotel with her husband Dave.

Becky’s Mum, Dad & Brother Tom could see the exciting potential that Hafod Hotel promised and it was clear that the only way Becky & Dave were going to be able to realise their dream was with their assistance, so they sold the family house, formed a limited company and purchased the Hotel, Bar, Restaurant and Tea Rooms at the end of August 2006.

Martin, (Becky’s Dad) has had a very steep learning curve in hotel management and at times finds it difficult to take instruction from his youngest child. His training continues and when accused of talking too much when he should be working explains that communications is an important part of the job!

Dave is Chef.
He has been cooking since he was old enough to stand on a chair in the kitchen at home in Oswestry and help his mum make lemon cakes ! His passion for cooking has never left him and he is continually coming up with new and exciting recipes. You are unlikely to meet Dave.
He is also known as ‘The Lesser Spotted Chef’ as he is of quite a retiring nature and only rarely seen out of the kitchen.

Tom is in charge of buying, solving problems and maintenance and is also quite difficult to spot.

Eve is Becky’s Mum.
Apart from being chief peace keeper she also manages the accounts.

The latest addition to the team is Isabella.
She arrived on 25th February 2007 and is rapidly taking the place of Becky as manager.
Next February, when she is two years old, she will probably be running the whole business !
